Print Industry Predicts Successful 2019
Both printers and suppliers predict 2019’s economic condition will improve from 2019, according to the latest drupa Global Trends report.
The report saw 40% of printers state that their business’s economic condition was “good”, while 13% described it as “poor” – with the remainder saying it was “satisfactory”. 50% of both printers and suppliers expect economic conditions to improve in 2019.
Over 600 printers and 200 suppliers from around the world took part in the report.
Director of drupa at Messe Duesseldorf Sabine Geldermann commented, “The report shows that with a little more than a year to go to drupa 2020, the global industry is in robust health overall. Clearly, there are significant differences in prospects across different regions and markets as demand rapidly changes with economic conditions and evolving uses of print.
“That is the real value of this drupa Global Trends series. It allows readers to track those trends over time and identify how printers and suppliers alike can best invest to secure a strong future within the industry.”
