85% of Consumers Regularly Read Direct Mail
A recent survey has confirmed the power of direct mail, with 85% of consumers revealing that they regularly read direct mail either immediately, on the same day or at a later time.
The survey, conducted by Lob in partnership with Compere media, surveyed over 2000 adult consumers in the United States.
Along with the majority of consumers reading direct mail, 62% said that a direct mail piece had inspired them to take action. Almost half of consumers said they had been introduced to new brands via direct mail, and 51% shared direct mail with friends and family when relevant.
The findings were consistent across all age groups, with almost half of 18-34 year olds agreeing that direct mail is a good way for brands to build relationships.
The full results of the survey can be read in Lob’s 2022 State of Direct Mail.
