Sustainable Packaging Reigns Supreme in e-Commerce
As more and more consumers become aware of the environmental impact of their purchases, they are increasingly looking for sustainable and recyclable packaging when shopping online.
Almost a third of online shoppers say they would be willing to pay more for products that come in sustainable or recyclable packaging, according to research from Macfarlane Packaging.
23% of respondents said they felt products they had bought online had too much unnecessary packaging, with products in the health and beauty section being the worst offenders.
With consumers becoming increasingly conscious of the environmental impact of their purchases, it is clear that sustainable and recyclable packaging is becoming more important to shoppers. Retailers and brands that can meet this demand will be well-positioned to succeed in the e-Commerce marketplace.
